RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, we remember, and appreciate, the service of our men and women and all the sacrifices made to keep the peace of this great nation; and

WHEREAS, the men and women who serve and who have served in the armed forces of the United States, all around the world are deserving of special tribute; and

WHEREAS, thousands returned home, scarred, in mind and body in defense of this country, with many remaining in hospitals to this day; and

WHEREAS, our young men and women continue, with great dedication and pride, to serve today in unsafe and unstable outposts all over the world; and

WHEREAS, homeland has recently been under attack, requiring our military to take retaliatory action in order to preserve our freedoms we so cherish.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BOB TAFT, Governor of the State of Ohio, do hereby designate
