A Message from the Chairman of the Cold War Veterans Association, Vince Milum…

February 23, 2018

As CWVA Chairman, I am saddened to announce that our victory in the Cold War is being undermined by "neoconservatives" in the United States but pleased and proud to announce that we have begun to fight back. To learn more about who the new enemy is and what the fight is all about, CLICK HERE.

Greetings Cold War Veterans and loved ones,

(1) After an extended hiatus to work "behind the scenes," the CWVA is proud to announce the relaunch of our web site.  Stay tuned for updates including one we are announcing today about one of the missions accomplished during our "hiatus."

(2) The CWVA sponsored a town hall in the summer of 2017 (with CWVA Chairman Vince Milum serving as co-executive producer) at a Kansas City area VFW, wherein (Retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant and) USS Liberty Survivor Bryce Lockwood recounted the June 8, 1967 attack on his vessel, the USS Liberty.  The attack occurred in international waters and resulted in the deaths of 34 crew members and the severe wounding of over 170 others.

The culprits of this attack have escaped justice because of a cover-up perpetrated both by the Johnson Administration and by two Navy men (both of whom are named John McCain).

To their credit, this summer, the American Legion passed a resolution demanding that Congress right this wrong and conduct a thorough investigation and to hold the guilty parties accountable.  That resolution can be read here.  A discussion of the role the McCain family has played in this ongoing atrocity can be found here.
